I know, I can hardly believe it myself!! I've actually had enough "free" time to play along with this week's MFT Sketch!! It's been MONTHS, my friends since I've had any time to color and join the amazing team at MFT in their amazing weekly inspiration. Here is this week's sketch:
I had about 45 minutes to complete this card from start to finish which is literally a record for me. I swear I am the slowest crafter in the world. I love to take my time, sit and think on an idea so that it comes out JUST as I'd imagined it. And above all I really, really, REALLY hate to be rushed (both in crafting but also in my daily life!). But that being said, I have three children - 9, 7 and 9 months so there is absolutely no time for me and my fun. But I needed a b-day card for a sweet little girl who is just about to turn 1 so I took the time to pull up this weeks sketch and got to it as quickly as I could.
I stamped the Pure Innocence Fairy Girl using Hero Arts Black Ink (love, LOVE this ink) onto watercolor paper. I then used my Distress Markers to color her in in that oh so rustic and "watercolorey" way. I used my water brush to move the color around to just where I wanted it.
I used my Wink of Stella pen to subtly glitter up the pom poms on her shoes, the band on her dress, her wand and wings.
I stamped the background with an alphabet background from Basic Grey and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches. I didn't even have time to pull out my die cutting machine so I added some fun gold sequins in lieu of any other embellishments. I have to be honest, for 45 minutes I was pleased. I love how the image stands on it's own and really makes the card special.
Thanks so much for coming by!! I hope to be playing along again very soon!!
Crafty Hugs!

OMGosh this is so super cute!!! Welcome back!!! I could not tell you were rushed in any way. It won't be long now before you will have a few minutes to yourself to be able to craft again. We missed you.
