I'm here today with a card for two different challenges!!! I felt like doing something 'just for fun' today. Not that my normal creating isn't ALWAYS fun but sometimes it's nice to bounce outside of your parameters, assignments, challenges, etc and just play.
So I am here to bring you my card for both the most recent OTWC #36 AND the most recent Stretch N Bubbles challenges.
For OTWC we were issued a color challenge:
And for SNB we were issued a challenge to use this image:
And here is my creation!!
As you can see...the only deviation from the OTWC is the blue, felt 'e'. I did not have another tan 'e'...so...I improvised. =)
My card base is a light cocoa color, followed by a really light tan stock that I coated in white Brilliance ink, heat embossed and stitched around the edges.
I then colored the SNB swirly tree...SO FUN! I love that it's a tad abstract. I also edged distressed with gold Brilliance craft ink and zig zag stitched the main image to it's chocolate brown counterpart.
I recently picked up a 'rag ball' at my local antique store and it just so happens that the colors were PERFECT!! I snipped a length off, tied it in a knot, cut the edges into neat little 'v's' and then adorned with my chocolate brown shimmery, rhinestones as I also did with the tree.
Thank you Kim at OTWC and all the Creative Chicks at SNB for these amazing challenges!!
I hope you enjoy and have been inspired!!
