Good Morning and Happy New Year's Eve!! I'm writing while still on vacation. My kids are out in the barn with their Aunt feeding the horses, chickens, ducks and geese while I steal away for a few minutes by the fire to post my NYE creations starring two of the newest Tiddly Inks Images!
Happy New Year
Baby New Year (which you can get as a Freebie here thanks to Christy!!)
I had so much fun creating with these two images and I have one more to come later!!!
My first card is with the new Happy New Year image. I went with wintery hues of blues and ivory.
My image is colored with my Copics and Prismacolor markers. I then trimmed it out and used my white gel pen to create "bubbles" in the champagne which I then went over and covered with my Quickie Glue Pen and coated in yellow Doodlebug glitter. I set the image aside to dry.
My card measures 5.5x5.5". I used my jumbo scallop punch for the black polka dotted paper and my heart punch to create the line of hearts just under the white, cotton lace ribbon.
I also used my corner rounder only in the upper left hand corner to round most of the layers added. I used the new sentiments, also available on the TI Blog. I used my Brilliance Pearlescent Blue to sponge the edges of my sentiment to make it pop.
I used a partial rhinestone strip, three brads, blue fiber and the lace ribbon as my embellishments. I added my main image to the card using 3-D adhesive squares.
My second card uses the ADORABLE Baby New Year. Once again, colored with my Copics and Prismacolor markers. I trimmed him out and coated the interior and trim of his hat with chunky, silver glitter.
I went with a palette of black, red, white, silver and gold. Very festive!! Once again, I used my jumbo scallop punch to create the shaped edge of my card and it's subsequent 2 layers. I used a pre-cut edge border for the left hand side of the card. I then used red ribbon with white stitching to tie a neat knot over my border piece.
I added 3 stick pins in my knot for an added zing =). I used a PTI sentiment "celebrate" inked in Brilliance Pearlescent Black and with my Lipstick Red Copic, added dots in the small scalloped edging of the back of my border die cut.
New Year's Baby is popped up on 3-D foam adhesive.
I hope you have enjoyed and been inspired!!
See you all later with more crafty goodness!

Kraftin' Kimmie #59 - A True DUDE's Challenge!
Hello All!! I'm blogging from the great state of Maine while on a fabulous and restful vacation with my hubby, kids and dog!!
I was dying to participate in this challenge...all I had to do was ask my creative hubby to sit down and get creative with my supplies!! Being on vacation makes time almost stand still and lets us do what we really want to do and not everything that we HAVE to do. So creating together was super casual and very relaxing!
I gave my hubby his choice of KK stamps. I don't own any of the "dude" stamps so he had all ladies to choose from!
He chose the gorgeous Babette! I helped him stamp her in Momento ink in Tuxedo black. I had not realized that I actually BROUGHT an acrylic block with me (I couldn't lay my hands on it at the time of stamping) so we improvised. I inked the stamp up and laid it flat on the paper. My hubby had the great idea to lay a small piece of 2x4 wood on top of it and press down. It *mostly* worked. We kept getting the majority of the image but not all of it really crisp. So in an executive decision (mine) I cut her head out of one of the good images and added it - popped up on 3-D adhesive onto the body (and not so great stamped head) of another image. I explained to my hubby how to color both the underneath image as well as the popped up image.
So he then set to coloring her with my Copic markers. (SO CUTE!) He was very careful and diligent in his coloring. Choosing colors and markers with a great look of concentration on his face.
He then trimmed her out and started choosing papers from a huge mat stack that I gave him. I was very impressed with his color choices and selections of mixed papers. I left him alone with the papers, stickers, etc and he put the entire card together by himself!!! I love the geometric style that he went with as well as the "cheeky" sentiment ;) and his positioning of the main image.
Thank you my honey for playing along!!! It was such a fun and creative evening!!
I hope you all enjoy and are inspired!!

Happy Birthday!!!
I want to wish a fabulous HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my darling Husband. Without getting into our life story...he is...unbelievable. We've been with each more than half of our lives and what I love most is that all of our journeys end up back in the same place...together. Happy Birthday My Love...
With that - here is the card that I've made for him.
For those of us who know us will understand that CLEARLY I had to use one of the gorgeous Kenny K images for the main image for his card. I chose X-mas Hottie as my main image. I colored her with my Copics and Prismacolor markers.
I trimmed her out and added sparkly glitter glue to her fluffy trim. I then set her aside to dry. I colored her wings and trimmed them out. As you can see they are from the accessory pack. Once my image was dry I then adhered them together with 3-D foam adhesive.
I layered lots of delicious holiday papers and stitched each one. I added some fab green and white polka dot ribbon, a foam sticker that I transformed with white glue and SU! red glitter, and an awesome chipboard embelli that I added a silver pipe cleaner to as a little extra bling.
I printed my sentiment out in MS Word, trimmed it out and backed it with SU! Garden Green (i think that's the name).
I can't wait to celebrate with great friends and family tonight for my darling's special day!!
Happy Birthday Honey!!
I hope you have enjoyed and been inspired!

Stretch N Bubbles Challenge #30
Good Evening!!
I had a burst of creative energy today so I wanted to share with you my creation this week for SNB's newest challenge using this fabulous holiday ornament image!
It's called Flower Ornament:
Here is my creation!!
My card measures 4x4". I used a piece of Echo Park Paper from the Christmas Bells line that was given to me by my darling friend Betty! (thanks girl!)
I stitched the edges and coated them in SU! Real Red ink. I then set to work on my image. I colored it with my Copic markers. The largest part of the ornament as well as the ribbon holding it is colored in Lipstick Red. I then took my Versamark pen and clear embossing powder to make the red part of the ornament really shine!
I then colored the ornament interior in Turquoise, Chartreuse and Gold. I printed the image again, colored the Turquoise and Gold sections again and trimmed them out. I then used my SU! 2-way glue pen to get them nice and gluey and then coated them with the same corresponding glitter colors.
I adhered them to the base ornament with 3-D foam adhesive giving it a super textured and POP look.
I made the ruffly ribbon on the left and glued it down with Aileen's all purpose glue as well as the chipboard emellis that you see to the left and right of the main SNB Ornament image.
I hope you enjoy and have been inspired!! I truly LOVED playing along again this week!!

I'm so excited to be here today hopping with my fellow girls on the Smeared Ink Design Team with Tellen's Place as one of our amazing December Sponsors!!
I've had the privilege of using Diva Christmas Star as my image for this fun hop!!
I knew I wanted to veer off course from the regular holiday colors so I chose a palette of Turquoise, Orange and Pink as my jumping off point. I colored Diva with my Copics, Prismacolor markers. I then trimmed her out and using my Versamark Pen, colored her boots and gloves and some of her curls, coated with clear embossing powder and heat set her.
I took my white gel pen and added small accents here and there and used my Quickie Glue Pen to coat the trim on her hat and dress with MS white, sparkly glitter.
I then set Diva aside to dry and worked on my card.
Using scraps and bits, I layered, stitched and layered some more to create a fun and super textured card.
I snagged one of my daughter's foam snowflake stickers from a huge bin we have in our playroom, coated it in white glue and then in MS turquoise glitter. Once dry, I glued a Love, Elsie sticker in the center and set it aside to dry.
I used a scrap of Ouchless Cardboard from Gauche Alchemy, coated in white craft ink and then heat set as a textured layer. I had a blast stitching the orange, polka dot ribbon with many snowflakes down the center!

OTWC #38 and Stretch N Bubbles Creative Chick Challenge #29!!
I'm here today with a card for two different challenges!!! I felt like doing something 'just for fun' today. Not that my normal creating isn't ALWAYS fun but sometimes it's nice to bounce outside of your parameters, assignments, challenges, etc and just play.
So I am here to bring you my card for both the most recent OTWC #38 AND the most recent Stretch N Bubbles challenges.
For OTWC we were issued a color challenge:
based on this gorgeous photo:
The most lovey Alison at Stretch N Bubbles put forth this amazing image this week which reminded me of the bottom image of trees in Darling Kim's photo above.
Here is the image from SNB as part of this week's challenge:
I also used a piece of one of the four designer papers as my layer over the card base. That, too, was stitched on. I used bright green thread for all of my stitching.
I made my own layered, flowery embellishment by taking a raw chipboard, scallop flower and covering it in hot pink Colorbox ink and heat embossing it. I then punched out a scallop circle out of my ever dwindling supply of "ouchless cardboard" from Gauche Alchemy. Followed by a felt flower and then a brad. It all snugged together just nicely!!
As some lasting touches I added 5 copper brads along the bottom and used white, linen twine from The Paper Source to tie around each tree trunk and two, sparkly gorgeous stickpins in my American Crafts ribbon - that just happened to be the perfect colors for this challenge that is tied into a neat bow in the top left corner.
I have to say that I truly LOVE how this turned out!! I will be submitting this for both challenges.
I hope you enjoy and have been inspired!!

Here is my creation blending these two FANTASTIC challenges:
My card base measures 6"X4". I printed my SNB image out and colored it with my Copic and Prismacolor markers and white gel pen. I sponged the paper in and around it with my Tim Holtz inks. I then trimmed it out and set it aside.
I had a blast choosing all different designer papers from my ridiculously huge stash of holiday papers. I chose four different kinds, trimmed them out to the size I needed, backed them with white cardstock that had been sponged with more Tim Holtz ink and stitched together.I also used a piece of one of the four designer papers as my layer over the card base. That, too, was stitched on. I used bright green thread for all of my stitching.
