Hello! I'm so excited to be here for another fabulous week of TI challenges! This week's challenge was to take inspiration from your favorite summer movie. Honestly, I have been LESS than enchanted with the movies from this summer so I chose one of my families favorites from the last year or so.
I chose Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure. It's a favorite, favorite, FAVORITE around here! I'm not so much a Disney gal and even I love it! use one of TI's newest images Fairy Fae and colored her as close to Tinkerbell as I could. I used the cover and all of it's colors as my inspiration.
If you know the movie you'll understand the sentiment.
I colored Fairy Fae with my Copics and my sparkly Sakura gel pens. I used layers of navy, purple and DP to back my main image. My paper is pre-scalloped so I used it on the left hand side as well as on the bottom (it's the flipside of the DP). Along the bottom I added a pearl to each scallop for some added texture and dimension.
My ruffly ribbon was the last touch as I needed to pull in more of that delicious Tinkerbell green!!
I hope you enjoy and come play along over at TI!!!
XOXO-
Meredith
