Greetings Everyone!! Welcome to this week's amazing TI challenge...WINDOWS!! I have a fantastic reason to make a delicious baby card as my darling friend had a gorgeous baby boy a few weeks ago and I'm FINALLY headed over to visit and bring his gift!! I needed THE perfect card to go along with it!!! |
My card base is 5.5 x 5.5 using a sparkly ivory cardstock from The Paper Store. I cut a circle out of the center of the front of the card.
After I cut my base I then set to coloring my image. I used my Copics, gold paint pens and sparkly Sakura gel pens to color this sweet image.
I printed the image twice and trimmed out the blanket making the top layer sparkly with Turquoise Martha Stewart glitter.
Once all was dry, I mounted it to a 5.25 x 5.25 piece of SU! DP and then mounted the entire panel to the interior of the card ensuring that everything was centered.
I cut two 5.5 (x 1.75) x 5.5 (x 1.50) strips using the same SU! DP family. I stamped 'welcome baby' from an older SU! sentiment set.
After adhering my sentiment pieces I then added some light blue grosgrain ribbon with white stitching on the edges and for the finishing touch I added the baby's initials out of gold chipboard letters JNR.
I am SO happy with how this turned out!! I hope you enjoy and have been inspired!!
Please come play along at TI!!!
XOXO-
Meredith
