Greetings everyone!! Welcome to another awesome week at Tiddly Inks!!! I'm sure you've been following the Halloween Blog Hop along but don't forget there's always the weekly challenge to participate in as well!!
This week we were issued this fantastic sketch!!! In lieu of a card this week, I chose to alter this cool chipboard clipboard (say that 3 times fast!). I've been needing a place to keep my weekly lists of crafting "to-do's" so I can't wait to hang this up in my studio so that I can start using it!!
I took my Colorbox Boysenberry ink pad and generously rubbed and squished it all over the chipboard (a trick my fabulous friend Joanne taught me long ago!). I set it aside to dry while I colored Bathing Beauty with my Copic markers.
The strips of designer paper is from the American Crafts Amplified Line. I went with the color scheme of Raspberry, Purple and Navy. I love how delicious it all looks together!!! I layered and stitched and just am so excited about how it came out! I decided to layer my image OVER the strips of paper so as to not interrupt the lines of the gorgeous Bathing Beauty.
I used my new Curvy Cutter (after slicing a HUGE gash in my finger while opening) to cut the consecutive circles out. I used faux notebook paper which is really designer paper and Core paper in black with a purple center as my circular layer. I edge distressed the Core paper in order for the purple to show through. I then stitched the 2 layers together.
Once everything was adhered down, I added the purple gemstones as well as my blue glittery wave (all one sticker) down to add a little extra zing!!
Thank you so much for coming to visit today!! Don't forget to come play along at the TI
challenge blog!!
XOXO- Meredith
