Welcome to QKD Royal Court Crop Sketch Challenge No. 2!!
Colors: Blue, Silver, White====================================================
Am I in L O V E !!!! I knew I was in love with Victoria when she was previewed to us before her release.
She wasn't my assignment so I hadn't yet had a chance to work with her. But I recently received her in an order and have been waiting for just the right moment to ink her. And this...was it. This is...by far....the most serene card I've EVER made!! I instantly feel peaceful when I look at it!! I think it's the color palette that we were given. Very soothing!
I didn't have a ton of silver cardstock (I need to stock up on my metallics!) so I used this great piece of silver patterned cardstock from American Crafts as the card base. I then used one of my favorite yet widely ignored SU!'s Not Quite Navy. I've always loved this color! As the background to the rectangle panel and the 'tag' panel.
I knew I was working with Victoria, and that she sits on an adorable mushroom. So...BING!! I grabbed my Shroomies stamp!! This was one of my first purchases. I just think they are SO stinkin' cute!!
I used my Cricut - Doodlecharms cartridge to create the oversized tag. I used my last piece of silver cardstock to cut the front of the tag. I inked the Shroomies up in regular Versamark and heat set them. I didn't want them to distract from Victoria but rather compliment her.
I colored her in my Copics, Sakura gel pens, my white and silver paint pens. I used a piece of SU! Taffeta ribbon in grey (close enough!) to complete the tag. The left panel is adhered directly to the card base and the tag is sitting up on 4 foam squares.
I hope you enjoyed my take on this sketch!!!
XOXO
