We were just issued another challenge over at the PARTY!! You can download a free DIGI STAMP (super cute) and create an ATC with it!
Here is my ATC!!! Cut at the standard 2.5 x 3.5 I used a basic chipboard back and covered it first with SU! Close to Cocoa and then I tore a page out of one my vintage magazines...this time it was Family Circle Magazine from January of 1953. The ads and articles are SPECTACULAR for background images!!
This tree was the lead in page for an article entitled...(and ya...sit down it's pretty chauvinistic) "Being The Lament of the Husband Whose Hybrid-happy Helpmate Isn't Content to Let a Petunia Be Just a Petunia" SERIOUSLY!!! Yikes...well I'm glad that I was able to take the beautiful artwork from this ridiculous article and truly keep it something beautiful!!! It worked PERFECTLY as my background paper!!! It needed a bit of zazz so I "technicolored" the flowers on the tree with my glitter stash and glue pen.
I printed and trimmed out the bee sticker twice. Once for the under layer and then once for the wing overlay. I grabbed some mis-matchy ribbon and used it around the card and at the top on the bulldog clip. The clip was added to give it a "clipboard" feel. Useful...but can be beautiful...you see where I'm going with this ;) My last touch was a vintage looking button from a jacket that I had years ago!!! But I tuck everything away...you never know when you may need it! We're usually called hoarders... ;)
I hope you enjoy my ATC!! Thanks Robyn and Donna for the image and awesome challenge!! It's been FOREVER since I'd made an ATC!
Thanks for playing along and following us through midnight tonight!!!
XOXO-
